Please read these Terms fully before making a purchase on The Crafty Vintner (“we”, “us” or “our”) is the organisation. Reference to “you”, “your” or “recipient” is the customer/purchaser of products through this website. The below terms make up the contract of the sale of goods between the customer and the organisation. “Contract” means the agreement between the customer and the organisation for the sale and purchase of goods. “Goods” means the products purchased from us by you. “Terms” means these Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to modify any of the terms without notification. While we endeavour to provide notice of any important modifications to our service, it is your responsibility to check these terms periodically for any changes. Your continued use of this website constitutes as acceptance of those changes.



2.1 We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro & Solo), PayPal and The Crafty Vintner Reward Points as methods of payment on our website.

2.2 We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, and gift vouchers as methods of payment in our Belfast store (705 Lisburn Road, Belfast BT9 7GU).

2.3 All payment for goods and postage must be made in full before being processed and delivered.



3.1 Our pricing may be subject to change without notice.

3.2 Price of goods quoted on our website are inclusive of VAT (Value Added Tax) at a rate of 20%.

3.3 All offers and promotions advertised are subject to availability.

3.4 While we attempt to ensure all information is accurate and up to date, we will not be liable for any typographical errors or omissions (E&OE).

3.5 The cost of postage/carriage is quoted and billed separately from the price of the goods (excluding the wine subscription options).

3.6 For ROI customers, our products are all quoted and billed in GBP Sterling. We are not liable for any differences in currency rates that your credit card company or PayPal may provide you for any exchange service.



4.1 You confirm that all required information provided is accurate and complete at the time of order being placed and that this information relates to you only and not a third party.

4.2 Order confirmation issued by the credit or debit card organisation does not constitute as acceptance of orders by us. We reserve the right to check any discrepancies and if an order cannot be confirmed for any reason, we will notify you as soon as possible via email or telephone.

5.2 We will let you know an estimated delivery date for the goods ordered. These dates are not guaranteed and are subject to busy periods and courier delays.

5.3 You must notify us within 24 hours of receipt of goods that appear to have been damaged in transit. In those circumstances, all packaging must be kept and photographic evidence should be provided to us to support your claim.

5.4 In the event of a delivery dispute (i.e. unreceived or damaged goods), we will undergo investigations with the relevant courier and recipient. A decision will made by us based on the validity of the claim prior to any replacement goods/refunds taking place. If so, we may arrange either to replace the defective goods with the same product, or if this is unavailable, we will replace them with similar goods.

5.5 Orders over the value of £500 must be signed for by the recipient.



6.1 If you receive goods you believe to have been damaged in transit, you must report them to us within 24 hours of receipt of delivery, providing full photographic evidence of any item(s) damaged. Compensation will amount to the value of the original purchase price of the damaged item(s).

6.2 We provide exchanges or refunds for faulty or defected goods only (e.g. if you suspect that a product is off) within 30 days of the original purchase date. Please do not throw the product away until photographs of the bottle front, back and cork (where a cork is used) are taken, in order for us to investigate the issue and ensure goods are liable for a refund.

6.3 In the event of you receiving unsatisfactory goods, we may require customers to return the item(s) back to us. Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging and accompanied by the original receipt. You must take reasonable care of all goods in your possession and return them to us, appropriately packaged to avoid damage. You may either return the whole case or affected items only.

6.4 Proof of postage must be provided to us so that we may compensate customers for any return postage costs incurred.

6.5 Outside of our 30-day return period, we cannot be held liable for any defects or faults in products not previously brought to our attention. No refund or replacement will be offered outside of this period.

6.6 Once returned we will credit the original payment method used to make the purchase within 2 working days of receipt of return. Please allow up to 14 days for refunds to be processed.

7.1 Click & Collect orders from our Belfast store (705 Lisburn Road, Belfast BT9 7GU) must be collected within 30 days of receipt of order confirmation.

7.2 We reserve the right to resell these products after 30 days of goods left uncollected.

7.3 After 30 days of goods uncollected, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.



8.1 You must have an account with The Crafty Vintner to sign up for a wine subscription plan.

8.2 Subscriptions are available to customers aged over 18 only.

8.3 There is no delivery charge payable on any of the wine subscription options.

8.4 Your subscription of choice automatically renews every 12 weeks. By signing up to receive your first case, you accept to receive the same selection of wines to your chosen delivery address every 12 weeks from your initial sign-up date. You can notify us at any stage that you do not want to renew at least 24 hours prior to your next billing date.

8.5 By requesting to join a subscription, you authorise that we deduct such subsequent amounts every 12 weeks from the credit/debit card that you used to pay for the initial case.

8.6 You have the right to cancel your subscription without giving a reason at any time. You can communicate your decision to cancel via your Account section on the website, through our contact form, via the Live Chat function or via email at at least 24 hours prior to your next billing date.

8.7 If you wish to change to a different plan, simply cancel your existing plan with us as above, and proceed to sign-up for a new subscription of your choosing.

8.8 You must inform us of any changes to your delivery address or credit/debit card details at least 24 hours prior to your next billing date.

8.9 We may terminate your subscription contract with immediate effect and without notice if we do not receive payment from you, if you are not eligible or you do anything in breach of these terms.

8.10 If we cease offering any subscription type and do not replace it with a suitable alternative, we will notify you that we will not be continuing your subscription and no further payments will be taken from your credit/debit card.

8.11 If we replace an element of any subscription with a wine of equivalent or greater value, we will notify you of any changes before such change comes into effect. If you do not wish to accept the change, you can cancel your subscription as above.

8.12 From time to time, we may make changes to these terms, including prices for each subscription. We will notify you in advance of making any such changes. If you are unhappy with such changes, you can cancel your subscription. If you do not cancel, changes will come into effect with the next case you receive.

If any item(s) within your order are out of stock, we will notify you within 24 hours of the order being placed to make alternative arrangements prior to shipping. You can choose to wait until the date that the item(s) will be restocked, or we can recommend a similar product that we currently have in stock. You are entitled to a full refund if either of these options are unsuitable.



With the nature of vintage-specific wines and limited-edition spirits, there may be times that certain products on our website become out of stock. We strive to keep our website up to date with changing vintage information, however there may be instances where we have changed to a more recent vintage and our website has yet to be updated. We will notify you via email or phone within 24 hours of the order being placed of any changes in vintage to suggest alternative vintages, or similar products prior to shipping if these products are out of stock. You are entitled to a full refund if these options are unsuitable.



We always strive to keep our website imagery up to date with the latest bottle shots or packaging, however there may be instances where bottles/labels vary as they have yet to be updated. Product images are therefore for illustration purposes only and cannot be seen as an exact representation of what is in stock. We will not contact in the instance where packaging, bottling or labels differ as the product itself remains the same. Where the product itself differs (through vintage variations, for example), we will notify you within 24 hours.
