Gabel, Organic Pfalz Spatburgunder

A very elegant Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) grown organically on limestone soils which bring fresh red fruit and a silky structure and medium body. The slightly earthy aftertaste and 12 months in barrel add more complexity to this wonderfull balanced red wine.

100% Spätburgunder grown on limestone sites of the villages of Herxheim am Berg , and Bissersheim. After the selective harvest the wine was destemmed and fermented spontaneously in open fermenters for 3 weeks. After the pressing the wine aged for 12 months in (mostly neutral) barrels before it was bottled without any fining and filtration.
