Cakebread Cellars first released a Napa Valley Chardonnay in 1973 and have been perfecting their style ever since. The 2017 hails from the cooler sub-region of Carneros and is fermented and matured in French oak barrels, with additional lees contact. It is naturally rich in stone fruit flavours but has pretty floral nuances, mouth-coating texture and delicately balanced acidity. A thoroughly modern Napa Chardonnay with exceptional finesse.
